There are few people who inspire me the way Gigi Edwards Bryant does.
Having entered the foster care system at age 6, and staying there until age 18, she has one of the most powerful stories I’ve ever heard. And y’all…seriously, I’m telling you, you. Will. LOVE. Her.
Gigi Edwards Bryant is a wife, mother, elected official, keynote speaker, business owner, and community volunteer. She’s one impressive woman!
Bryant serves her community through organizations that address issues that create measurable, life enhancing goals and demonstrates opportunities through education, drug and alcohol abuse recovery and children in the nation’s foster care system.
She’s also the founder of The Write To Me Foundation, which was established to provide rite of passage experiences to youth who have lived in the foster care system.
Children in the foster care system often are overlooked in celebrations that are personal and individual. Events such as birthdays, sporting events, outings and holidays are passed over in transition. They are especially overlooked in short-term stays, group homes, foster homes, and those having medical challenges.
